Property.com.au is a research site helping Australians find the full picture on every property. Sold price data is provided to us from a variety of sources, including State and Territory Valuer Generals or, if you are within Victoria, the LANDATA (Victorian Land Registry).
The State and Territory Valuer Generals each maintain a public register of property ownership information, including information such as the date a property was purchased and the price paid for it. Their record is over 100 years old and was created to ensure the existence of transparent property information.
In some cases, such as when a property has recently been sold, and the Valuer General has not yet updated its register, sold price data may be provided to us by the agent.
If for any reason, you need to discuss your property's sold price data, you will need to contact the Valuer General in your State or Territory. If you are enquiring about a Victorian property, please refer to LANDATA (Victorian Land Registry).
