How is the median sale price data calculated?

Median sale price data is determined by the price of the properties that falls in the middle of the total number of properties sold over a period.

The median is the middle number in a sorted list of numbers. Therefore, if the sale price of three separate properties were to be $600 000, $620 000 and $700 000 then the median sale price would be $620 000.
